MOTORCYCLE INTRODUCTION
If you are new to riding mopeds, scooters, or motorcycles, it is highly recommended to schedule a basic riding lesson (Motorcycle Introduction, sometimes referred to as a Pre CBT) before undertaking your CBT (Compulsory Basic Training).
Our Motorcycle Introduction session lasts for 1 hour (additional time can be arranged if needed) and takes place on our secure tarmac training area. It aims to familiarise you with the controls and operation of the vehicle, as well as help you become comfortable with starting, stopping, and riding within the training area. If you quickly grasp these skills and feel at ease, the instructor may introduce other elements that will facilitate your CBT experience. You may also require more than one session if the instructor feels that you may struggle doing the CBT.
To further prepare for your CBT, it is crucial to obtain and understand an up-to-date copy of The Highway Code before attending the training. as you will be tested on parts of it on the day.
Additionally, before booking a CBT, you must possess a valid Provisional License or a full Driving Licence.
If you choose not to participate in the Motorcycle Introduction training and subsequently fail to meet the satisfactory level during the CBT assessment, you would need to return for a CBT Completion, which would incur higher costs compared to completing the initial introductory riding session.
